Our Services
Since 1989, Larry Armes Machine Ltd. has been approved by Transport Canada for specialized aviation welding. We offer oxy-acetylene fusion welding, oxy-acetylene brazing, shielded metal arc welding, and tungsten inert gas welding on aircraft parts or components.

We also offer on-location aviation welder training for 4130, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium. In addition, we are approved by Transport Canada to test/examine welders and/or welding operators as called for in AWS D.17.1/D.17.1M:2017-AMD2 or AMS-STD-1595.

We have extensive experience from Piper J-3 tubular structures up to parts from large, commercial Boeing airplanes and helicopters. Our customers include a wide range from general aviation, military, and large commercial carriers.

ABOUT US
Aviation Welding Specialists
Larry and Norma Armes have a long history in aviation welding. In the 1980s, they started and they still own Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization #34-89, Larry Armes Machine Ltd.
​
Larry has decades of specialized welding experience in tig welding and oxy-acetylene welding.
​
Norma started her working career as a public school teacher. Norma is a wealth of knowledge on aviation welding and an effective part of the welder training team.
​
Larry and Norma were married in 1972 and have always enjoyed working together. They have always had a passion for aviation and spend many hours every year flying their Piper Cherokee 6.
